My card is a super simple print and cut card.

I found this cute little girl with a crayon and the back to school image in the silhouette store and they were both print and cut ...so that made my job a lot easier lol.  I just printed those babies out and cut them with my sil and on the card they went :)  I decided to use my layered garden beauty as my base and layer my little school girl on top.

I also cut 2 of each of my images, so that I could layer them on my card to give it a more dimensional look.

"Have a sun-sational day "

Hi everyone!! So glad you dropped by :)

We are having a challenge over at the Pinque Peacock Challenge blog and we would love for you to check it out and enter one of your wonderful creations!

The theme for the challenge this go around is "Summer" Super easy and simple :)

I absolutely love summer. I am not a winter girl by any means lol. I like it nice and warm, I can never seem to get warm enough when it's winter out. So, this challenge was right up my alley.

I  love Mickey and all things Disney. I decided to do a card with Mickey and add one of the awesome embellishments Jessica has at the Pinque Peacock Store.

Now this is my kind of "Summer" sitting around at the beach with your sunglasses on and not a care in the world hehe.

While making this card I decided to make it a folded card ( now I can't quite remember what this kind of card is called...I'm sure I will remember it after my post goes live lol ) I kind of winged it on this and just cut my card stock to the size I wanted it and then scored the front flap in half, taped the bottom half of my image down. So that it would fold in half and my image would stand upright.

On the inside of the card I added some waves to act as the card holder. So that the top would have something to rest against in order for it not to fall down.

The cute little "sun" that is on there is actually a burlap flower that I got from Jessica in my DT goodies. It started out as a light beige color, but since the sun is yellow. I decided to change it up a bit.  I used my Spectrum Noir markers. Which you can get at the store also :)

Have a great day and don't forget to enter your Summer themed project. You could have a chance to win a Gift Certificate to get some of your own goodies from the shop!

For my project today, I used some of the fabulous stuff in the mail from Jessica!!

Just look at all of this cute stuff :)  (One of the buttons is on my project and as you can see I used some of the cute little metallic mesh in my project too!)

And here is my completed card :)

This is a close up of the mesh that I used... as you can see I not only used it on my card...I also used it for my background :)  I just put it on the white cardstock and used some TH distress inks (barn door) to make my red starred background!

And another close up for you of that cutie patootie button!!

The ribbon is from 3 Girl Jam (Holly Berry, Navy Blue and Dress White)
Love that stuff hehe!!

It's the time for more inspiration for the current  challenge over at

Ch# 14 Create your own Shaped Card

You MUST use a Silhouette somehow in your project.

Sponsor this month is:

(3) Silhouette Replacement Blades

For my shaped card , I decided to make one in a word shape for my dad since it was his birthday.
I typed out the letters  and made an offset of the word.  Using the offset I mirrored it above  and then just slid them together and welded it for my card base :)  I made an extra offset of the letters for a little dimension , cut them all out,  put them together and all done!  I also added some TH distress inks to kind of grunge it up a little. Since it was for a guy lol .

Thanks for sopping by and make sure to head in over to see what the DT has created for you inspiration and link up today.
